TDWI Konferenz 2016, 20th to 22nd of June 2016, MOC München, Lilienthalallee 40, 80939Munich, starting from 8 a.m.
What are the cornerstones of successful Big Data projects? Technical aspects like scalable data storage and fast access times? Or organizational aspects like a corporate culture which relies on fact-based conclusions instead of gut decisions? These questions have been explored by Stephanie Fischer and Dr. Christian Winkler from mgm at June 20, at the first day of the TDWI Conference in Munich. Both experts brought forward different points of view in their presentation „Vom Bauch zum Kopf und zurück – Big Data zwischen Technik und Organisationskultur“ („From the belly to the head and back” – Big Data between technology and organizational culture”) – in form of a controversial dialogue. This resulted in an entertaining and educational talk which addressed many stumbling blocks typically encountered in practical projects. And a passionate plea for a more comprehensive and interwoven view of technical and organizational aspects in Big Data projects.
